- May 2007 - current, Meat - PiF has successfully negotiated the launch of 10 sku's with 2 major retailers on behalf of an SME based in the North West of England. The work included finding National logistical solutions for a remote, rural based processor. The income generated from these listings will increase the size of the client's business by 33%. PiF are providing ongoing support for the client by acting as National Account Managers.
- March 2007 - current, Ethnic. PiF have worked with a medium sized ethnic food manufacturer preparing it for sales growth expansion with the major multiples. The work has included factory re-design, costing models and technical advice. PiF will spearhead the sales development towards the latter end of 2007 and into 2008.
- July 2005-Jan 2007, Ethnic -
£600m European brand manufacturer engaged PiF to introduce their range of products to UK retailers and manage UK accounts. The challenge was to introduce another fighting brand into a mature market sector. PiF involved independent analysts to confirm USP's of products and commissioned in-depth EPOS data to create a route for entry of new SKU's valued at £20m at retail value. PiF's work helped to facilitate the acquisition of a long sought after competitor brand based in the UK.
- June 2007- current, Start-up Company - having produced a sales and marketing plan for a new ready meal start-up Company, PiF have been assigned to develop the sales for the business in its first 2 years.
- June 2007 - current, Packaging - Following a competitive tender process, PiF have been assigned to develop new UK sales channels for an Eire packaging Company.
- Summer 2005, Major Retailer - PiF assessed the chill chain of short life products and enabled the client to improve product freshness and reduce supply chain stocks.
- 2002, Independent Wholesaler - PiF reviewed the operational structure of a family run business, installing improved procedures by mentoring the family board members, delivering 10% service level improvements.
- November 2002, Food Haulage - PiF analysed the in-house distribution operation and devised the option of putting the haulage function out to tender. This delivered estimated annual cost savings of £1m.
- April 2001, Produce - Labour intensive food operation wanted to reduce its' direct labour cost. PiF director formed a team of advisors to introduce an incentive scheme, embracing not only output but yield and quality. The resultant annual saving was in excess of £350,000. In addition, extra income by employees reduced staff turnover.
- January 2005-December 2006, Drinks - PiF produced the feasibility study for a major drinks brand to transfer into new sectors. The study included the potential for in-house manufacturing versus toll routes.
- March 2004-Aug 2005, Meat - New business start-up with significant USP, needed help with validation of a novel process to secure intitial and second stage funding. This was achieved in collaboration with recognised scientific establishments at minimal cost to the client. PiF advised on operation set-up including factory design.
